Your mention of Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree reminds me of my childhood days. Well, I am glad to inform you that Ihave just published a book on Enid Blyton by the title, The Famous Five:A Personal Anecdotage (www.bbotw.com).
I read these as a child and also bought them for my daughter. I just got her(us!) the full set of famous five books off freecycle. Happy reading to you and the boys :-)
