My router has been playing up the last few days to the point I lost my internet connection yesterday. I felt really lost not being able to sit at my PC and do the things I would normally do. Thankfully Him Indoors managed to sort the problem out and touch wood, it seems ok so far.

Thats what we normally do. We have two computers hooked up and the internet was working ok to the router but not from the router to the computers. xxxx

they have a habit of loosing the IP address sometimes and you have to uncouple everything, wait a few mins, and then plug it all back in again...works sometimes...have never found India helps at all in these sitations except to give you a bloody great phone bill as you go through the procedures they have written down...and usually not unplug the whole darn thing and reboot!! Lost my internet connection for five days once and that was all that was required...Virgin guy said that was the first thing the call centre help should have told me! GBHs...XXX

We get that occasionally. Normally we just turn it off and back on again and it's fine, but on 3 occasions I've had to get on to BT...in India!
Glad yours is OK again.
