The last two days have been really quite busy. Yesterday I traipsed around town trying to find Christmas presents and was dismayed when I went into Woolworths. The shelves were practically empty and it was obvious to me that they are closing down. Then today they announced that closing down is practically imminent. Such a shame.........I sure will miss them.
Today I had to go to the post office and post all the Christmas cards and a couple of parcels and then over to the library.
I have the kids off school still with this nasty chest cough bug. A lot of their class mates and teachers also have it.
I cooked toad in the hole for dinner and changed the yorkshire recipe slightly and it was bloody horrible...........well, ok, it was edible and not as nice as my dont measure any ingredients and sling it all in a bowl recipe lol. See Delia Smith, your yorkshire recipe tastes crap and raspberries to you!

I tend not to use recipes either, being like you a "sling it all in a bowl" person. The big benefit of this is that it's slightly different every time.
I feel a little sad about Woollies too. I walked past them today and thought about it. Not pleasant thoughts. I bought my first ever record from them.

I am useless at making yorkshire pud, you could make a brick out of mine.

You should try gluten-free yorskhire puddings - yuck! I'm going to miss Woollies so much - got my black nail varnish there back in the seventies.
My kids are taking it in turns to be off school - had three of them off one day last week, so all my Christmas shopping is still not done

The moral of your post is very clear.
Never ever change a tried and tested recipe. lol
